shawn_bowen
Will the TWINX2048-3500LLPRO work with these new water coolers? CandyKid
Just an FYI, but removing the heat-spreaders may void your warranty. Also, it doesn't appear that Corsair is currently offering a non-PRO 3500LL module/TwinX set currently. They may in the future, but I can't find evidence of any such product. I'd reccommend against using that cooler unless you're a serious enthusiast and have a very well set up water loop. The drop in pressure and resistance to flow from a block like that will have adverse effects on the system unless you run multiple loops and/or run them in parallel. Besides that, RAM doesn't really need water cooling (even if the block is pretty neat). PLUR CK
Wired
Removing the heat spreaders WILL void the warranty. CK's right, no non-PRO version as of yet.
shawn_bowen
I guess i was wondering if they will offer a non pro version. I have a serious water cooling setup and much money dumped into my 4800 x2 SLI Rig I currantly have 2 x Twinx-3200XL 1gig sets So I have 2 gig total. What is the benifit in benchmarks to go from 2T to 1T what type of performance gain?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 3, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 3, 2005 It’s hard to say because its relative to the other hardware you have, CPU, MB and PSU. But I would guess it would be somewhere in the range of 1-6% difference in a memory test.
