xanoo
I'm struggling to get my system to run at default settings. The memory I use is TWINX1024 CMX512-3200C2 dimms. I originally posted my problems at the DFI forums at http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27968 My problem is that I can run my system with 2100 mhz and the 2.5-3-3-6 settings, but not the default 2400 mhz and 2.5-3-3-6. The last settings won't start to boot my Windows XP I tested a suggestion with 2400 mhz and 3-3-8-3, but this gave me a random BSOD with some hours between each. Wired
First, NO OVERCLOCKING. Then, try these timings (anything not mentioned should be set to default): CAS Latency (tCL): 2 RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3 Row Precharge (tRP): 3 Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6 Memory Voltage: 2.75 Volts All other settings to defaults. If no go, test one stick at a time in each slot using Memtest86+. Click here to find out how you can add your system specs to your profile and posts! xanoo
There's no overclocking. My computer is only stable when I underclock. My specs should be added, and I have an amd cpu that should use CAS Latency 2.5 ? I have tested the memory with the memtest option in the bios, but I guess I have to test again with the memtest site program.
