NascarFool
Today my comp started crashing and I figured it was the ram. I have memtest running and after 22 minutes it is showing 22 errors in test five and one error in test eight. Do iI send in both sticks for RMA or just one stick ? How do I get an RMA number for warranty ? *Update* I ran memtest on each stick and one stick showed no errors after one pass. The other stick shows 8,569 errors after on pass. Looks like one stick is toast.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 31, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 31, 2005 Test #5 generally signifies the problem is coming from elsewhere. It could potentially be your voltage settings. Please try the following settings in your BIOS. DRAM Voltage (also called DDR VOLTAGE): 2.75 -------------------- DRAM Clock: 200 MHz SDRAM CAS Latency: 2 SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3 SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3 SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6 All other settings are motherboard defaults. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
NascarFool
With the ram in another comp (Epox 8RDA3+) it is not dumping any errors after 16 minutes of memtest. I tried some HyperX modules in the MSI comp and it showed no errors. I'm only getting the errors from one of the sticks on the MSI board. I'll keep testing before I condem the ram. NascarFool
My comp completely refuses to run with the Corsair ram installed. It ran fine for over a year with them. I will send them in for warranty. Thanks for your time. :o:

NascarFool
Thanks Ram Guy. I shipped them back today. Unfortunately I am running a matched pair of HyperX in my comp to get me by.
