Corsair Twinx2048-3500llpro Defected

Hi,

i have just received a pair of Corsair TWINX2048-3500LLPRO from Germany (i write from Italy) certificated at DDR438 2-3-2-6.

I run Memtest 86+ for 6 hours (9 test passed) at DDR 400 and i had 0 error.

If i try to run at 219 (DDR438) the system (A64 S.Diego 4000 with Motherboard DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D) doesn't boot.

I tried to change the 2.7v using 2.8 but it doesn't change.

The Ram boots at 215 (just at 2.7 v.) but after a few minutes i have 121 error.

I tried 214, 213, 212, 211, 210, but after a few minutes memtest show many error and i reboot all.

Using 209 or 208 the system crashes.

I tried to change the cpu voltage (1.425 instead 1.400) but it doesn't change.

I'm using the official DFI Bios 623-3.

How can i change the ram?

Thanks

You would need to use the -1 or -2 Bios with these modules, as they are based on Infineon not Samsung. Please try the -1 Bios and then load setup defaults and set the Voltage to 2.75 Volts and test them one at a time.

Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!

Thanks.

I have submitted the RMA online module.

What about the american customs barrier for the RMA?

Could i buy a second pair of Twinx3500LLPRO or there are customs problems?

Thanks.

Yes, they have, search the forums. Some European distributors will help out in the RMA process, significantly reducing the time it takes to replace the memory, hence why he recommended it. You can always send it to Corsair (who's only located in California, USA), but that would definitely take longer.

Ok...

I would just know if there were customs problems...

I know the U.S. hardware resellers had to write on the packet "Gift" to ship in Europe.

That's why. :):

My German reseller hasn't in stock that product... i bought the last one.

Please either call our customer service at 888-222-4346 and dial "0" or follow the link in my signature "If you have submitted the RMA using the on line form and have not got a reply!" and send an email request about this!

Thanks... infact i haven't received anything by email.

I prefer the online form because you would laugh hearing my english... :D:

Please let us know when you get the new modules.

I'm completing the online RMA module.

I need the RMA authorization to send you my bad modules.

I'll pay 40$ (by italian post or fed-ex) to send them to you...

Don't you refund anything?

Obviously you have to send me back tested modules... i don't want surprises.

Corsair pays for the shipping to you, you pay for the shipping to them.

Of course the memory will be tested. ALL of their memory is tested, and all RMA'd memory is replaced with new memory regardless of the outcome of their tests on the RMA'd memory.

I have to complete in English the documents for the

american barrier control.

I'll declare the truth, i have bought the Ram in Germany

and i have to send you to obtain the sostitution of the

product.

I must sign one of the following fields and it must correspond to what i declare (RMA to the producer):

Description of the parcel:

1) Sample;

2) Document;

3) Gift;

4) Trade Off.

What have i to sign?

The central post office said to me that there are american customs problems (they send back the parcel in Italy... they are so nice...) if the field signed isn't correct.

Thanks

I have written at rma@corsairmemory.com but they don't know.
