passivo
Something i just read: IMPORTANT NOTE ** For maximum system stability, Corsair recommends the use of XMS memory ONLY with nForce 2 motherboards. Value Select memory is NOT RECOMMENDED. NVIDIA nForce™2 unleashes blistering system performance and Dolby® Digital 5.1 audio for today's most demanding users. Combine it with an NVIDIA-based performance graphics card, and you've got a PC for the most tricked-out performance and immersive gaming environments ever experienced on a desktop PC. when looking at xms memory. i have the value select memory, VS1GBKIT400, and an NVIDIA nforce 2 memory board. on top of the, after running memtest, one of my ram cards gets the same error, over and over, even if i switch their spots. so me thinks one is bad. my computer crashes to a blue screen, after having turned of my "system restart on failure" options. I just ordered a new pair of xms ram for my computer, sick of the crashes, especially after reading this. i would LIKE to send my old memory back and upgrade it, but i put a heat sink on both sticks and i took of the stickers, so i think im screwed. my question really is: can i still send them back? maybe get them checked up, and upgraded cheaper, giving myself 2 gigs of solid ram? or am i SoL? thanks i regret having my ati graphics card after reading this too :(
