Wired
Generally, 4300 will work, however, there are other specs to be concerned about when it comes to compatibility. Long story short, System Select memory will work with the Dell memory, some VS should work when replacing the dell memory.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 28, 2005 I would try the system with just our modules installed and see if it will post and run http://www.memtest.org. If not then yes I would suggest you look up your system on our memory configurator and ask if the reseller can exchange to the part# that is listed. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 28, 2005 Yes please try it by it self! Sorry OEM systems don’t give the bios options you need to run aggressive memory.
RJLeong65
Yes please try it by it self! Sorry OEM systems don’t give the bios options you need to run aggressive memory. I agree! OEM systems are permanently stuck in JEDEC-reference-standard mode. That means that DDR2-533 memory on that Dell system will always use CAS 4-4-4-11 timings no matter what, and also use the standard 1.7V voltage no matter what. As a result, performance memory will perform no better than generic memory on your system.
