Oiball
I have one stick of the RAM named in the topic. I assume by the lack of information on the Corsair site that this particular model is no longer manufactured. Is there any possibility of finding a matching part in stock, or any sort of trade-in available? I have no problems with the memory, but I would like to have at least 1 GB in my system. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 27, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 27, 2005 You are right this part is no longer in production. Sorry! If you want 1.0 Gig you would need to match the same part# or just find another use for the module you have now and get a Twinx1024-3200XL set of modules for best performance. Oiball
Thanks for the reply, RAM Guy, but you basically repeated my question to me. I am looking for help finding a matching part in back stock or something of that sort. Thanks again
Wired
Thanks for the reply, RAM Guy, but you basically repeated my question to me. I am looking for help finding a matching part in back stock or something of that sort. There were answers in there. I assume by the lack of information on the Corsair site that this particular model is no longer manufactured. Is there any possibility of finding a matching part in stockYou are right this part is no longer in production. Sorry! In otherwords, they're no longer made, ergo not stocked anywhere. Is there any sort of trade-in available? If you want 1.0 Gig you would need to match the same part# or just find another use for the module you have now and get a Twinx1024-3200XL set of modules for best performance. In otherwords, no trade-ins available through Corsair. May want to try the reseller, but it's really rare to hear about trade-ins for PC hardware. Only time I ever heard someone doing it was concerning this one guy who had 4 TOP of the line PCs (appx $5,000 a piece), and every couple of months he'd trade in the video cards for better ones, and pay like $50 extra per card. Oiball
I was wondering about leftover stock at Corsair, much like an auto manufacturer will have last year's vehicles hanging around although they are not made or sent to retailers anymore. Looks like that's not the case here though. Thanks again.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 28, 2005 No sorry once a part has been removed off of the active list it is not available even if we might have a module or two somewhere. Sorry!
