xsubzerox
Hey... I'm getting a Tyan K8SE motherboard but I need to get some RAM for it. I know that it needs Registered and supports ECC so I found the following RAM which had pretty good specs: Corsair 2x512 PC3200LL RE. Specs - PC3200 Cas 2-3-2-6 XMS3200REv1.1 I was just wondering if anyone knows if this ram is compatible with the tyan motherboard. Thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 25, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 25, 2005 I would not suggest it with Tyan MB's as they do not give you the option to set the memory voltage. Please look up your system on our memory configurator and use a module that is listed.
xsubzerox
Yeah I looked at their recommended memory modules, I was just hoping to use this one because of the better timings. So I just wanted to check here maybe someone is using it with theirs. If I were to buy the ram I mentioned and it did work in the motherboard, but then later the ram stops working... would I still be covered under the warranty? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 25, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 25, 2005 Our modules have a lifetime warranty on them... But there is no way we can gaurentee that MB will support those modules.
