SAR
I saw a article where this site mentions in its Cons, that the Abit NF7-S2 does not support Cas2: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=28&num=6 But when I looked up this board on Corsair it shows this supported memory, which is Cas2 and what I had purchased as well to go along with this board, the TWINX1024-3200C2: http://compatible.corsairmemory.com/mini/search_redir.aspx?type=mb&mfgid=76&modelid=

Secondly, at DDR400 memory clockspeed on a Socket A motherboard, the CMX512-3200C2 module is actually rated to run at CAS 2.5-3-3-6 timings, not CAS 2-3-3-6. But you will have to override the automatic SPD speed/timing detection; otherwise, the motherboard will use CAS 3-3-3-8 timings (which is exactly what is programmed into the CMX512-3200C2's SPD @ DDR400). leeghoofd
Grab the new bios mate for your mobo I highly doubt it Abit hasn't foreseen Cas 2 in their latest releases. It could well be that your ram doesn't work properly at Cas 2 but this option should be foreseen in later releases http://file.abit.com.tw/pub/download/bios/nf7-s2//nf7215.exe Enhance CPU compatibility. Add new DRAM timing items. BIOS compiled date: 04/07/2005
SAR
Well I dont have the board, I was looking at it and wanting to use it with this memory if it worked with it. But I was told when it first came out CAS2 wasn't supported so I hope this newer bios will take care of that. THANKS
