ArcSensor
I have a MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum motherboard currently running Corsair TWINX1024-3200LLPT 1GB DDR400 XMS3200 Ultra Low Latency Dual-Channel Memory w/Platinum Heat Spreader. Im looking to upgrade with another stick of memory. Shopping around I have been unable to locate that exact memory to buy. Any suggestions on what memory is compatible with my board and current memory. Also should I look for a 1G module or stick with 2 more 512's? TIA! leeghoofd
Thing you have to consider before upgrading to more memory. When you install 4 dimms ( they need to be the same type, speed,...) you will have to run them at DDR333 anbd it could be ( depending on the CPU type you have ) at 2T command to ensure stability. ( due to the memory controller limitations of the cpu ) Do you need 2 gigs ? I think the best bet to have good tight latencies it might be better to go with 1 gig modules and choose the newest modeles to ensure max stabilty and good speeds. ArcSensor
I have a 3700+ San Diego I dont want to have to put this RAM aside, is there any RAM I can run along with it?
leeghoofd
Well I think you can still order the ram since it is still in the Corsair product list mate, I wouldn't recommend mixing it up with another type of ram. Just ask ya vendor if he can order it but just hold on before ordering for the reply of the Ram Guy
Wired
IIRC, LL hasn't been MADE for over a year. I've seen 256A-3200LLs once or twice on the retail market, but that's it.
