Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 24, 2005 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS2700C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. GGuy
Wow i wonder how much this happens. YOu finally after like two weeks get your module back and then are happy just to fined out that it is @%$ up again. My previous thread: Post ID = 219462 #1 Same problem. I was supprised to see only about half 3/4 of the error messegaes i had on the previous module (after about half an hour there were 414 error's using memtest). I have allready eliminted the posibility of it being anything else but the module using a module from samsung worked perfectly. The i tested the module on my alienware another 400 errors. Value Select modules are obvious not undergo the tests, and qualifications, that it says on the back of the packet, besides that it dissatisfies the customer. If Ill send this one in It will be allost ten dollars i wasted on shipping. Maybe it is advisable not to use corsair.
Wired
What timings / voltage are you testing them at? Are you mixing them with any other memory? What is the exact part #?
GGuy
Im using the one as described above. I tested it with tose seting in the one i built and in my alienware.
