McHew
Ok, I have 2 sticks (512k each) of Crsair CMX512-3200C2PT. All of a sudden, windows started only recognizing 512k of RAM, instead of the 1G I have. BIOS recognized the whole thing. During reboot, the system wouldn't boot Windows at all. Occasionally, I got an error to show, which was: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I ran a full diagnostic, but after consulting the web, discovered that this was most common with either a hot CPU or a RAM failure. Other errors than started appearing, which led me to suspect RAM error. Also, my CPU temp was fine. I pulled one of the RAM sticks-everything worked. Replaced it-fail. Switched em-failed. I'm pretty sure this qualifies as a dead stick. BIOS seems up to date-it's just windows. What now? -McHew
