kek
Hello there, at first my sytem specs: Asus P4P800 P4 2.8 HT FSB 800 2x CMX512-3200LL I want to upgrade to 2 GB of RAM. I know i should add another pair of 3200LL, but as it can be seen on http://www.geizhals.at/deutschland/?fs=corsair+512+pc400&in=&x=0&y=0 these modules aren't available any more ("angebot" is the german for offer, the $-price should be a bit higher than the €-price). What about buying 2x CMX512-3200C2 (2-3-3-6) and setting down the timings of the existing 3200LL from 2-3-2-6 to 2-3-3-6 ?? I'm not keen on letting my old ones lie around (in case of buying 2x1024-3200xy), but selling them just for a few bucks is difficult and not really worth the effort. CMC_SAVAGE
Unfortunately you're in a bad spot. There really is no other RAM that would work with what you have. You're best bet for 2GB would be a TWINX2048 set. Some have had success mixing the XL's and certain Version#'s of the LL's. This is most likely sheer luck and base on individual system specs. Currently, on Corsair's site, the TWINX2048-3200 modules are available only in the "C2" version, which is guaranteed stable at up to CAS 2-3-3-6-1T timings @ DDR400 memory clockspeed (default SPD-detected timings are CAS 3-3-3-8-2T @ DDR400). kek
Thanks for your answers guys. I seems i have no other choice than following your recommendation, but i think i won't be disappointed by a nice TWINX2048-3200C2 set  Keep up your great support!
