Memory dump?

Recommended Posts

I have TwinX 3200+ and when I use programs that consume a lot of memory (IE:Virus scans, copying 20+ gigs to another hard drive, ripping DVDs.) I get the big blue screen and it says my memory has been dumped.

So my questions are:

1. What would cause this to happen?

2. Do I have bad RAM?

RAM

Part # -CMX512-3200XLPT

Version # - 1.2

Lot # - 0526123-3

400MHz

-Running Dual Channel-

Clocked at 200mhz

CPU

AMD Athlon 64bit 3200+

CPU Clock 2010mhz

CPU voltage 1.4V

HT Freq. 5x

I have no performance settings set. Everything is on default.

One concern I had was the latency setting. The RAM says 2.2.2.5. My CMOS screen said 2.2.5.2.

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS2700C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
