Thereverant Posted October 16, 2005 Share Posted October 16, 2005 I have TwinX 3200+ and when I use programs that consume a lot of memory (IE:Virus scans, copying 20+ gigs to another hard drive, ripping DVDs.) I get the big blue screen and it says my memory has been dumped. So my questions are: 1. What would cause this to happen? 2. Do I have bad RAM? Thereverant Posted October 17, 2005 Author Share Posted October 17, 2005 RAM Part # -CMX512-3200XLPT Version # - 1.2 Lot # - 0526123-3 400MHz -Running Dual Channel- Clocked at 200mhz CPU AMD Athlon 64bit 3200+ CPU Clock 2010mhz CPU voltage 1.4V HT Freq. 5x I have no performance settings set. Everything is on default. One concern I had was the latency setting. The RAM says 2.2.2.5. My CMOS screen said 2.2.5.2. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted October 17, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 17, 2005 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS2700C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
