MSI K8N Neo3-F & Twinx1024-3200C2

My motherboard only has two slots for RAM and I have 2X512 sticks of Twinx1024-3200C2 that I have installed in both slots.

Upon booting, the BIOS only recognizes the speed at 167Mhz. Is this the correct RAM for this board, or are there settings that needed to be set? I'd like to get to 400 speed.

Thanks

You've just solved your own problem.

You see, you have a Socket 754 CPU, whose memory controller will default PC3200 memory to PC2700 speed. You need to change the memory clockspeed manually (which you did). And the TwinX1024-3200C2 (and all other 3200C2 series modules) are now guaranteed to work at CAS 2-3-3-6 timings on both Intel P4 and AMD Athlon64 and Athlon64 X2 systems (this assumes that you have your memory voltage set to at least 2.7V).
