Hi again,

2 sticks of the CMSS1GB-333SOD. (System Select) costs £350 in the UK

2 sticks of the VS1GSDS333. (Value Select) costs £190 in the UK

What are the benefits for buying the more expensive RAM ? Is it worth it ?

Would either type work in my laptop ?

Thanks in advance for replies,

Nilesh.

If the system does not have on board memory and you will remove the memory that came with your system more than likely it will run with out problems with our Value Select. However, the VS1GSDS400 and CMSS1GB-400 SOD modules are functionally the same. CMSS parts are built with a restricted bill of materials deemed to provide the best compatibility with OEM systems. As such, we often do not have the capability to use low cost material.

I expect that the VS part will work correctly in your system. And, of course, Corsair's lifetime warranty is in full effect if it does not. Our confidence of first pass success is highest, however, with CMSS parts.
