Dual channel reduces overclock on my IC7-G using 2xCMX512??

I have two of CMX512-3200C2 v4.2 using Samsung -5 TCCX, exact same sticks but not twinx(same bactch number).

I test each stick and I can run at 270mhz 2.5-3-3-6 at 2.8V using memtest. However when I use them both as dual channel, memtest fails at 270 2.5-3-3-6. I tried running at 3-4-4-8 ang I get less errors in memtest. I have no problems running at 250 2.5-3-3-6 btw.

Is it my motherboard or the sticks dont like each other? Does anyone have a similar problem?

Thanks.

I am using P4 3.0E Prescott. I have gone up to 285 Mhz with my TCCD Patriot XBLK but my Process was crapping out.

What CPU are you using?

It's alot easier to OC one stick vs. two.

It's less strain on the Memory Controller and system overall.

250MHz with those timings ain't bad for the C2's.

Well that's a totally different IC.

I still don't think its a bad OC with this RAM.

If you're looking for more you may have to change you RAM.

3200XL's are TCCD.

I'm pretty sure the 4400C25's are TCCD as well

The SPD is 2.5-4-4-8 @ 550MHz.
