Faulty 512mb Twinx 3200LL memory

I have 2 x 512mb Twinx 3200LL memory and the Asus P4C800-D motherboard. This system has been running flawlessly since I replaced a faulty stick about 6 months ago. Recently, I have been getting registry errors in WinXP w/SP2, the occasional missing/corrupt ntoskrnl.exe error, and crashing in games. I tried to narrow down the problem (including reinstalling windows) and have narrowed it down to the memory. I ran memtest86 v3.0 and started to get errors. I then began to test one stick at a time. One of the sticks ran memtest without errors, while the other stick began spitting out errors right away. I believe that this stick is faulty.

Here are my memory settings:

FSB:200

DDR voltage: 2.85v

CAS# Latency: 2

RAS# Precharge: 2

RAS# to CAS# Delay: 3

Precharge Delay: 6

Burst Length: 4

Thanks,

John

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have (Cass 2-3-2-6 with the Rass to Cass set to "3"), and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.

In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
