Need warranty RMA

I've got a 256 MB stick of value select RAM. System has been unstable and crashing for awhile (bsod's, etc). I finally got tired of it and tried to reinstall the o/s today, kept getting BSOD errors while trying to boot to the XP CD. Finally gave up on that and tried booting to a CD that would allow me to wipe the drive out completely and start over. Got errors on the autoexec.bat when it's loading the optical drivers. Once I got to the dos prompt, I first got a lockup when trying to do a dir. Second go around I got some sort of process error or something. Anyways, long story short I did a memory swap with some KG ram and the system has rebooted several times without a hitch and no errors in the system.

Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?

The board is a Biostar, not sure the exact model but I believe it's a KT266A chipset. CPU is a 1.33 GHz thunderbird and all settings are stock 133 FSB/266 RAM. No overclocking going on at all.

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings to "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
