Cmx-512-3200c2pro & Cmx512-3200c2

Recommended Posts

I have bought two sets of Corsair XMS TWINX1024-3200C2PRO memory; and I noticed that the SPIDs are different. CPU-Z shows Part numbers as CMX-512-3200C2PRO, and the other set as CMX512-3200C2, the RAM was purchased at the same time from the same store. The lot #’s are 0525125-1 and 0523024-1; the lot codes are the only items on the packaging that are different and also the SPID info. The memory timing is set to default and I don’t overclock but I do raid all my drives. I was wondering if I got a packaged set of ram with the wrong sticks. Also when I run them all in the machine at once I get random freezes but if I just run 1 pair the machine is rock solid.

What would you suggest?

If more info is needed ask and I will provide.

Are the Version #"s the same?

Are you having any problems.

If you aren't, then I would worry.

The SPD is the same for the Pro and non Pro (2-3-3-6).

If both sets report the SPD as such I would'nt worry.

The only difference is the Heat Spreader.

If the only issue is that CPU-Z reports one set as being non Pro

really does'nt effect anyting.

If both sets work together at the rated timings, then all is good.
