Ram is humming.

Hi, I have a set of TWINX1024-3200C2PRO. I've been having MASSIVE problems with my system lately (probably unrelated). I repaired windows, and that fixed most of the problems, but then I noticed my computer making an odd, high pitched humming noise. Suspecting my hard drives were having problems, I decided to have a listen into my case. The noise that it is making is not coming from the hard drives, but more around the memory. I adjusted all my fans and it didn't change the sound. But as I listened, the sound level changed directly with the light levels on my ram modules. Is this normal, because it is very annoying.

PS: I no longer can find the package my ram came in. If they are bad, will this prevent me from getting them serviced?

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS3200C2 Cass 2.5-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.

Well, I had everything running at motherboard defaults when this happened, so I guess I will try the rest of what you said.

BTW. I finally fixed my problems with the rest of my machine. Hard drive went bad and was dieing a long, painful death. Didn't loose any data however.  :D:
