Looks like bad memory stick

Having problems booting up with memory error, so I took out 1 of my Platinum sticks and left one in slot 1. I was then able to boot with no memory error, but when I exchanged the first stick with the second and put it in slot 1, I again got the same memory error and it would not boot. So, I retried the first one again and it worked fine.

Can you tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?

After using 5222 for over year I changed it to these settings but haven't gone back:

cpu externa 166MHz

cpu freq multi 11.0x

memory freq 100%

resulting freq 166MHz

SDRAM Active Pecharge Delay 6

" RAS + CAS Delay 2

" RAS Precharge Delay 3

" CAS Latency 2T

CPU Vcore 1.675v

AGP Size 64mb

ACP Freq Auto

DDR Reference Voltage 2.7v

AGP Voltage 1.5v

You have the timings set incorrect. The Ras to Cas should be set to "3"

cpu externa 166MHz

cpu freq multi 11.0x

memory freq 100%

resulting freq 166MHz

SDRAM Active Pecharge Delay 6

" RAS + CAS Delay 3

" RAS Precharge Delay 2

" CAS Latency 2T

CPU Vcore 1.675v

AGP Size 128mb

ACP Freq Auto

DDR Reference Voltage 2.7v

AGP Voltage 1.5v
