Bad module

Recommended Posts

I started getting memory errors and different windows program errors out of the blue. My computer has always been very stable. It began to randomly crash every so often so I tested the memory and did not receive any errors or maybe I didn't run the memtest long enough ( about 5 min ). I rotated the sticks out, trying them in different slots, and found that one was bad or at least that one alone causes the system to error and crash, when I run the other stick by itself I get no problems.

Do you have the option to set the Dim Voltage to 2.775 Volts? If you do please set it. And I would manually set these settings and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org.

SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T

SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T

SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T

SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T
