Bad_Pool_Caller

I recently purchased 2 sticks of 512 Corsair memory

Here is some info off of one of the sticks of RAM

-----------------------------------------

CMX512-3200C2PT

XMS3203v1.5

0527005-2

XMS3200 512MB 400MHz CL2

------------------------------------------

I just aquired a new computer and upon placment of both sticks of memory into the motherboard, I tried to turn it on to install Windows XP.

After the Windows XP CD had gone through it's loading process i got a blue screen that said "Bad_Pool_Caller"

So I figured that it was the memory. I took out one of the sticks and I no longer recieved the message. Is it safe to assume that this stick of memory is bad?

If so how do i go about returning it to get a replacement

Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?

I tried both the failsafe and the optimum settings in the bios. Both times I got the same error with both sticks of memory
