CL for Twinx1024-3200C2 with Athlon 3000+ (FSB 200)

Hello everybody,

I've just bought the Twinx1024-3200C2 for my Athlon 3000+(FSB 200) + Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe System. The Rams are working fine so far, but SPD sets them to 3-3-3-8 instead of 2.5-3-3-6 wich should be the correct setting for a AMD CPU. I could have changed the settings already but I still hesitate because Everest also recommends CL 2.5 only for FSB 166, but not for FSB 200.

What is the correct setting? Can I run them with CL 2.5 without any risk? What is the correct Volt.?

Thank you!

Marcus

The 3200C2's are set to JEDEC values.

You would have to manually set the timings to 2.5-3-3-6.

The Frequency should be at 200MHz in BIOS.

2.7 volts should be fine.

I,ve set the timings just like you said. It works but for some reason the benchmark shows better results with 3-3-3-8. Why?

Marcus what you are reading is the SPD in the module and that will not change. You would need to be able to see the chipset registers in order to see what the chipset or memory controller is actually running the memory at.
