Koden Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 I recently purchased an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe Motherboard with an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ Barton 400MHz processor. On it I have a NVIDIA GeForce FX5700LE videocard. I was wondering if it would be better to use the CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Model TWINX1024-3200C2PT as my ram, or use that with a stick of VS512MB400C3 value select 512mb ram to give myself 1.5gb of ram. From what I understand, I can't use dual channel if I put in the value select ram. I already own all three sticks of ram and they are are very new. Also, how can I tell if my ram is set to dual channel? Thanks.

Thanks. hello....i have the same board and chip........i just installed twinn x 1024 3200c2pt......with no problems.....im not sure about the dual channel.......i guess if you install both sticks in the two blue slots....the board is supposed to reconize it as dual channel?>...........im wondering about the dual channel too..can anyone help?
