Nito Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Hi i got a slight problem here. I started having locks up with the most simple game (rise of nations) BTW at the same time i was playing doom 3 and pacific assault, so after talking to the microsoft guys for quite a while they recomend to replace the video card at that time was a FX 5900 ultra, done the problem did persist after that, anyway things started to get worst and worst thousend times i checked the ram with memtest and the microsoft memory diagnostic tool, no prblems found, but lately it was impossible to play any game except doom 3 pacific asault and painkiller those kinda things you will not understand, just for the heck of it i decide to steal one memory stick from my wife's computer (VS1GBKIT400) and all the issues are gone now. Here is where im lost now what i'm supposed to do now? pretty sure is something wrong with the memory i have, but neither memtest or microsoft detects any problems. I'm stuck with 1 gb of ram that i'm gonna have to shove it up my arse?. BTW setings are 2.5-3-3-8, i've read on other post and the memory charts that are supposed to be 3-3-3-8 tried and a beautyfull no post at start up came by after CMOS clearing and reset the bios imputs i decided not to mess with that anymore. Any sugestions please!!!!! Weird thing is the fact that i can play really heavy games but i can't play the most simplest. Thanks in advance. Nito.
