lifewasupgraded Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 My son was playing a video game that he has been playing several times for over a week when the screen went blank followed by the Bios continuos beep. Rebooting reinitiated the beeping. we have a matched pair Twinx1024-3200c2pt. We tried putting them in the other channels-again the bios continuous beep. We put in only one -repeated bios beep. Put the other in channel one, leaving the other out of the machine and success. We bought the modules at Fry's on June 16 and it is past the 15 or 30 days. The computer has run prefectly for 30 days (we got it up and running on 6/23) We are running a AMD Athalon 64 3500+ on a gigabyte ga-k8nf-9 motherboard. If I have to send both modules to you, we will not have a computer for that time during which you test the chips and resolve the matter. Look forward to your response

lifewasupgraded Posted July 25, 2005 Author Posted July 25, 2005 I have 2 questions- If I sent the one part of the pair back for replacement, so that I can continue running how do I get the matched pair in the end? and , of course,Do you reimburse for postage if the part is in fact faulty?

Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted July 26, 2005 Corsair Employee Posted July 26, 2005 I would direct you to our Warranty Policy as that will help answer these questions. For normal warranty replacement you would pay to ship the modules to us and we will pay the shipping back to you and repair/replace them. If you have a matched set you should submit the RMA request for a Twinx or VS Kit and send both modules so the new modules match. I am sorry but there is no other way. However, before you do the warranty request I would suggest you set the Dim Over Voltage Control to +.2 Volts and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure and or test the modules in another system if you can.
