fernandus Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Hi, can I mix a memory module VS256MB400 and a VS256MB400C3? (just the "C3" in difference) (I am using a MSI KM4M-V mother board and AMD Sempron 2400+ Processor) Thanks a lot
CMC_SAVAGE Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Bigger difference than that. You can try but I doubt they'll work together. IC's are different.
fernandus Posted July 24, 2005 Author Posted July 24, 2005 I guess must be a difference between the modules. But is this critical? I am upgrading and my computer is in another city so I am not able to test it rigth now. Does anybody know what will happen *really*? My motherboard just support 333mhz modules on the paper, but it runs well anyways with one module of 400mhz. Does it make any difference adding another module with the "C3" ending? Thanks!
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted July 26, 2005 Corsair Employee Posted July 26, 2005 I would not suggest mixing these modules, but you can try it. However, it would be best that both modules are the same part#.
