2.5-3-3-6-2T vs 3-4-4-8-1T

Hi,

 

I'm about to build myself a new pc and wondered which RAM configuration would perform best on an Athlon 64 X2 setup and how significant is the difference? I'm looking to buy 2GB of Corsair PC3200, either 4x 512MB (i.e. 2.5-3-3-6 @ 2T) and 2x 1GB (3-4-4-8 @ 1T). I know this question will probably have been asked before but no one has given me a straight yet so I thought I'd try here.

 

Any help would be really appreciated.

If you want to run 2GB, I'd look at the TWINX2048-3200C2's.

You would want the lowest latency you could get.

I don't think the X2's have issues with 4 sticks so the TWINX1024-3200XL's(x2)

may also be an option.

The 1T and 2T is more of a MOBO/BIOS issue and not with the modules themselves.
