kowalski
Hi I've just bought a new motherboard: ABIT AV8-3rd Eye socket 939 It comes with an uguru clock...you can set it to automaticly overclock the system when it lauches a program (a game for example). i also own the follow memory from corsair: TWINX PC3200 XL PRO (with leds) 2x512MB i was wondering how i should set the timings in my BIOS so that it can handle both a mild OC and be able to keep everything stable? it didn't boot at all when i first installed the motherboard, I then set the timings to: 2.8v 2.5-2-5-2 2T command rate and that made it boot. maybe these settings also are the best settings for letting to system OC a little bit? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 21, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 21, 2005 You should be running the Dim Voltage at 2.8 Volts and if you want to over clock I would relax the timings to like Cass 2.5-3-3-7 and see where you top out then tweak the timings to get best performance and still remain stable using http://www.memtest.org to test the system so you don't corrupt your HDD!
