Turd Ferguson
Last week my computer just shut down and wouldn't boot, more specifically it would start up but not post. At the time I was using a DFI LANParty Ultra-D, an A64 3000+ Venice, a Chaintech 6600GT, 1x512 crucial ram with the mT -5B D chips, and a Fortron 500w Blue Storm. The DFI mobo has an LED system which told me that it didn't detect the RAM so I bought a pair of Corsair TWINX 3200C2PT. When they came in still no post. I realized if I moved my graphics card to the lower PCI-E slot the RAM passed the LED test but the card didn't get any power, and then I realized the card didn't get any power in the upper slot either. I've talked to a DFI tech who thinks it's most likely a memory compability problem. Would you agree or should I try to RMA the board?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 20, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 20, 2005 No I dont agree, if this were true you would have had the other memory working but not our modules. And since both sets of memory display the same symptom I would RMA the MB and or check the PSU you have is compatible with the MB.
