sigx97
I have a Dell Dimension 4700 but I'm getting conflicting info on what ram to buy. Everytime I use a "get the correct memory" thing I am told that I need 533mhz, but mine is 400mhz. When I look at my system config at Dell.com I am told it is DDR2 SDRAM 3200 400mhz 240 pin. I wanted to get 2 512mb sticks giving me a total 1.5gig . Would any of these work: Corsair VS512MB400C3 512MB DDR400 PC3200 CAS3 Value Select Memory Corsair VS512MB400 512MB DDR400 PC3200 CAS2.5 Value Select Memory If so what is the difference??? I just need a little more boost so I can play Battlefield 2 more smoothly.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 20, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 20, 2005 I would not suggest our Value Select with any OEM system, and you should not mix cass 2.5 and Cass 3 memory. Please look up your system on our memory configurator.
