ramola Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Hi -- I'm putting together a new system this week with the Toledo core AMD 4400+ X2 processor running on the Asus A8V Deluxe (rev 2) motherboard. The BIOS that supports the X2 is 1013 as of today, so that's what I'll be installing. I am about to purchase the Twinx2048-3200c2pt package for 2GB RAM in two sticks, but I want to make sure that's the right one to get. Can you let me know if that's the best choice for this CPU and motherboard combo, and if so, what are the settings I should put in? Should I just let the SPD settings be set automatically? Any other tips I should know? I want a balance of stability and speed. I'm not really into overclocking yet -- I just want the most reliable and fast memory, and I trust Corsair. (However, I might try a tiny bit of mild overclocking in the future.) If this is NOT the best RAM to get for 2GB total on this motherboard/CPU combo, can you please recommend what I should be getting? Thanks so much!
