cyrus7580 Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 I have three 333 Mhz ValueSelect 512 ram modules which I was using in a computer to install Fedora Core 3 on a whitebox machine. The install went very slowly with all 3 modules in at the same time and would crash out with a popup warning from the install program about possible bad media or bad hardware. It did this several times in a row. The installation DVD passed the media verification program with flying colors, so I figured it was a hardware issue. I decided to test the ram by trying the FC3 install with each stick individually two times each. Sure enough, the other two sticks of ram worked fine. The install completed without problems 4 times in a row. As soon as I swapped in this faulty stick of ram, both times it could not get past the drive formatting stage of the install. I felt 100% sure this stick of ram was the culprit. I'd like to get an RMA number, what do I do now?
