Tarantino
Hi, I bought recently 1 GB TwinX memory Kit (TWINX1024-3200C2) and I have tested these modules with three different mobos (Asus A7V880, Epox 8RDA3, MSI K7N2 Delta2 Platinum). I am using Memtest86+ version 1.55. Memory timings are by SPD (2.5-3-3-8@DDR400) and I am using normal voltages. Memtest gives thousands of errors per pass (1000-7500 errors in test #5). There are also random freezes when running 3D programs. I have tested 2 different PSUs and 2 CPUs and according the bios, voltages are high enough. I haven't tested higher memory voltages because heat spreaders get so hot after 15 mins memtest (I almost burnt my fingers when I touched them). Compared to my ValueSelect modules, these modules produce much more heat even they are running with same settings and voltages. I am also having problems with my ValueSelect kit modules, they only work with Epox mobo. When I tested those with Asus and MSI, I got similar results: thousands of errors in test #5. I have noticed Epox has a very good memory compatibility and my conclusion is ValueSelect kit is just incompatible with those 2 mobos but there is something wrong with TwinX kit. EDIT: I tested ValueSelect kit with Asus A7N8X Deluxe mobo and it gives errors also. I have tested mobos with different memory modules (Buffalo, Kingston, Apacer, JetRam) and with certain modules systems have been stable and no errors have occured. Maybe these mobos don't like Corsair =).
Tarantino
I run few tests with ValueSelect modules and tried different voltages. Results (test #5, 3 passes, 2.5-3-3-8@DDR400, DC): 2.60 V 30162 errors 2.65 V 9197 errors 2.70 V 3322 errors (default voltage) 2.75 V 754 errors 2.80 V 323 errors 2.85 V 214 errors 2.90 V 160 errors Never got less than 40 errors per pass. And I tried slower timings, but no significant difference. I also tested 2.5-3-3-8@DDR333, and got no errors at all.
