mat95 Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Hello I´ve been having a persistent issue between builds , swapped some parts and it persisted i first had one computer case , tuf b550m , 4070 windforce , 5700x3d , 4x8 ram 3200mhz , 650w pylon psu then sold some parts and got basically the same pc cheaper : new case , msi mpg b550 , 4070 eagle , same 5700x3d , same 4x8 ram 3200mhz , 650w pylon ( was at this time that i got the hs65 surround headset as well ) this is where the issue started happening ( random white vga light on post ) i´ve always used both builds with a g305 logitech wireless mouse and a redragon keyboard when swapping to the msi build , the vga light randomly started appearing ( in the tuf build i´ve used a p2 headset ) so when the light started appearing suspected the gpu first but it wasn´t the case since i´ve rmaed it and the new gpu persisted the problem then got a new psu , same problem then swapped the msi board for another b550 and it persisted can my case or too much usb devices cause the pc to randomly hang on the vga light ? ( also replaced ssd and it persisted ) basically got a whole new pc and the issue persisted , i don´t know what else to look for is the headset to blame ? or the new computer case could cause it ? where should i look for ? thanks
Cor.Fan Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Typically, the more usb devices connected, the more time the pc needs to boot since it polls all connected devices, but that should only take a few seconds more... the white post light indicates a connection issue between gpu and display. What monitor do you have? Check your cable first. If cable is ok, wake your monitor before switching on pc. Some monitors have a delay when waking up, causing white light to lit on post.

Cor.Fan Posted Saturday at 06:26 AM Posted Saturday at 06:26 AM It's rare that usb peripheral can cause POST issues. It's something between gpu and monitor since it hangs on White light during post. Ensure your gpu is seated correctly. Update your BIOS. Then check your cable. It's very common for a cable to cause that, especially cheap ones or adapters. If you can afford it buy a new OEM dp cable. You can also plug an hdmi cable just for troubleshooting the issue. Swap ports on gpu. Monitor can also be the cause. Reset monitor settings through its menu. Reset CMOS on motherboard. Since you changed everything but issue still there, the cable and monitor are my main suspects.
