vac56 Posted November 14 Posted November 14 I am having problems with the RGB on my Corsair H150i Elite Capellix liquid cooler (model CW-9060048-WW). Upon logging into Windows, the RGB on the AIO stops working, although I have found that my other Corsair devices maintain their RGB lighting with no problems. I attach a video to illustrate the problem. I have tried to fix it by switching from Windows 10 to Windows 11, but the problem persists. It should be noted that the RGB works perfectly when iCUE is running, both in the foreground and background. However, I prefer not to use iCUE because of the problems it has caused me, such as excessive CPU usage and blue screens (BSOD). Vid: https://streamable.com/a4k6y7
NkJ Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Try to toggle Device Memory Mode and configure your lighting, and click on small Save button once you configure it. This is device Hardware Mode, where it's not controlled by iCUE. In this mode, pump speed and fan speed can only be configured by liquid temperature sensor, since that's the only sensor device can see in hardware mode.

Hi, I have already followed the steps you mention. If you watch the first few seconds of the video, you will notice that the pump shows the illumination that I configured. However, when I log into Windows, both the pump and fan illumination are turned off. Despite this, the pump and fan speeds still work correctly according to the settings I set in hardware mode. c-attack Posted November 16 Posted November 16 The relevant information is what does CUE show for your profile lighting after you boot to Windows? Does it show an effect in the active profile user interface but not on the pump? Or is the effect in CUE deleted, missing, or de-selected?

When I had it installed, the lighting in both iCUE and hardware mode worked perfectly while the application was open. However, when I close iCUE, the lighting in hardware mode stops working.

Do you have any other program on your computer that can control Commander Core ? This is on my test bench and closing iCUE does not reset hardware lights. Edited November 16 by NkJ
c-attack Posted November 16 Posted November 16 You’ll need to install something to troubleshoot. You can’t analyze it without. Could be another program interfering in CUE’s absence.

NkJ Posted November 16 Posted November 16 (edited) TBH, I would try to install iCUE again and reset whole hardware lighting and after that test again, and check if there is any firmware update for the device. After that uninstall it by https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025166712-iCUE-How-to-perform-a-clean-reinstallation-of-iCUE if you did not already. Only thing that I can think of and would turn off lighting is another piece of program placing your AIO in software mode, where it goes black and expects data for RGB. I've never experienced any other behavior with this device or others, from CAPLELLIX, to CAPELLIX XT, even the LCD version. They all respect hardware lighting. Edited November 16 by NkJ

NkJ Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Open a support ticket on https://help.corsair.com/hc/ and work with them to resolve it. I've put exact setup on test bench with 8 LED fans and same AIO, and couldn't trigger it. It always switches to hardware lighting.

The lighting was being affected by a specific option in a temperature monitoring software, HwInfo. More info here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Corsair/comments/15whqoh/hwinfo_turns_off_corsair_icue_rgb/
