Recommended Posts

iCUE doesnt work when my pc starts but the fans will act normal if i try to launch the software, but iCUE itself will not launch so i cant use the software

iCUE doesnt show up under my applications that i can uninstall (yes im sure im not just looking in the wrong spot)

If i try to use the uninstaller in the corsair files i get a popup saying:

please note that the said error message is written like its a broken message from a lost world and not just a straight up line of text

I have been having this exact same issue for the past few months. I will notice the service isn't running and I cannot uninstall or repair from windows apps. Today is the first time I have gotten the weird error message that ac2freak239 shared. I have to go and delete the Corsair folder under Program Files and run the icue installer to fix it.

This only happens about once a month under daily use.

Windows update is a very common cause for the complete destruction of icue software. Good news is you did not download a virus by accident. Bad news is icue is its own virus. You will likely need to nuke/reformat the PC in full because theres simply so many secret icue files around your PC that mess with the uninstall process. Some people have better results downloading icue4 rather than icue5, but this is not guaranteed.

If you can return your hardware, i suggest doing so. If you look on the forums this has been going on since 2019 or something.

The CRSR stock price reflects the reality of the company. They went public 4 years ago and have lost 75% of value.

Even though reviewers like Linus, Nexus, Jayz, etc review hardware all the time and the 'hardware' of corsair is nice, no one reviews the icue software and that is the achilees heel of the entire company.

Do not buy. Do not eat.

Just FYI i have used the k55, k70, k100, the corsair mmo mouse, the corsair ironclaw mouse, the corsair RGB RAM, and the HS80. This is a corsair problem.
