Liquidcooled98
I have a 2 radiator gpu cpu ssd water loop, and I have read online that you should change the colored xl8 coolant more often than once a year which is what corsair has stated or at least all I can find.I want an answer from the official corsair community how often does the translucent colored xl8 need drained and refilled? I know clear lasts 1-2 years or even longer but I haven't seen anything on colored.
c-attack
In terms of color stability, I can’t say much and prefer clear. However, I do agree most colored coolants need to be changed more frequently. Every six months seems about right for standard color mixes. The exotic stuff won’t even last that long. Even with clear if you put your machine through heavy use or have a lot of components and radiators you may need more than once per year. That said, if the color still looks pristine you likely don’t need to do anything. Problems with the coolant itself or if it’s picking up junk from the radiators tends to create a color shift. That’s a sign you need to flush out the system and refill.
