rs0824
Hello, I've come across the red flashing lights issue that a lot of people have had in the past couple years. On start-up it starts normally then after the fans start blinking red. I haven't found a current fix, I've tried unplugging and replugging the CPU fan but no help there. I've attached the CPU core temperatures at idle, so they seem to be normal even though the "pump is failing". Is there any way to fix this? Thanks! c-attack
This looks like the 'false pump fail' issue on that model. Hardware error with the tach sensor reports a null value to the CUE triggering the alarm state. While the CPU temps are normal and the pump operating, you are locked out of the controls making it a problematic event. There isn't a user side fix for this and it is a hardware issue requiring replacement. Contact Corsair Support to start the RMA process. There is one other possibility. In your screen shot the coolant is -21C. Obviously it's not, but this is not part of the typical tachometer sensor fail. While it could be a blown temp sensor too, the more common reason is software conflict. Other programs like AIDA or HWinfo can get locked up with CUE when attempting to access the controller at the same time. One of the more common results is garbage data and loss of control. It's possible it could bump the Commander Core into that state. Make sure other monitoring programs are not running or Corsair internal devices are excluded while trying to run down this problem.
