Pocah
Hello! Shortly, I am going to replace my motherboard and CPU with a more powerful one. I am planning on getting a Titan 360. I believe they come with a Hub? Far as I can see, the Hub is exactly what it says it is. It is the interface between the PC and the AIO and LED lighting. I currently use a Commander Pro to control case fans and provide RGB for the PC. The case has a number of Corsair LED strips in it. Now, the thing is, I can not change the front case fans. They will have to be controlled with whatever scenario I come up with. They are currently plugged in to the Commander Pro. What would you suggest is the best thing to do here? Would it be best to keep the Commander Pro and use it in parallel with the Hub, or is there a better scenario using the newer Commander Core? What's the difference between the Core and the Pro? Is it just generational? I mean I could buy the Core today, just to see, but don't want to do that if it will be useless in when I upgrade in a few months time. Your help is appreciated! c-attack
Leave the Commander Pro and run the CUE Link hub along side it. Nothing says you can't mix and match and this is no different than if you were installing an additional Commander or Lighting Node Pro/Core, etc. I still run this way even with full CUE Link Hydro X and fans because I want the Commander Pro for temp data and RGB devices. There is no advantage to switching to a Commander XT, unless you are replacing a broken Commander Pro. That device appears to be end of life and is not easy to get a hold of right now.
