Ajames718
Apparently, Intel has already released it's critical and essential microcode update that addresses the increased voltage and instability issues plaguing all 13th & 14th generation cpus. https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/intel-bios-microcode-updates-available/ Considering the importance of this update, when can we expect Corsair to provide Vengeance PC owners whose prebuilts contain 13th & 14th with updates BIOS ? Jakevlee
Honestly, it's completely embarrassing. The last time they released the BIOS, for the i7400 Is over almost a year ago, absolutely embarrassing for a computer manufacturer that's selling $5,000 computer and they can't even update their quote by quote Proprietary motherboard bios thats not on the purchase label , that can't take motherboard updates from the manufacturer, and with big problems like this hit the the customers are the ones that are screwed because of their s***** play. And all processors that are impacted and that will be impacted in the future from the lack of bios updates and the i9 13900k and 14900k. Corsair should be held 100% liable for not having the BIOS update available with the rest of the motherboard manufacturers....., in fact, theirs is probably going to be a lot worse, because unlike the manufacturer, having thousands of systems they are testing it on, corsairs probably just going to do some basic lab tests and then throw it out, and then pretend that they didn't make any problems. If they do cause any. For the love of God Corsair needs to update their bios regularly, at least once every 2 months, but once every 6 months is absolutely atrocious, especially for $5,000 systems. In fact it's quite hilarious that they want the hassle to have a proprietary bios besides just letting people use the normal bios that comes with the motherboard from the manufacturer. That will fix the issues that Corsair has no idea how to fix Edited August 16 by Jakevlee

Ajames718
For those interested... Sadly, two full weeks after I submitted my request for updated BIOS containing the 0x129 microcode, there is still nothing to report.
DOOM_MARINE
Well if the chip is bad then the pc is a lemon... They technically owe me the price of this pc back... But we all know that will go nowhere... Going to have to replace the mobo cpu and ram to AMD... Just hope this pc makes it to the end of october... Without the bios update corsair is liable and without the bios the pc will eventually die... Just not made out of money and these new parts I replace this pc with will set me back... shenalon1981
If you guys have an MSI mobo, the initial 0x129 was out 08/15/2024 but it was a beta. The final version went out 08/21/2024 so in practice it's been 3 days. Hopefully Corsair understands this update is of a critical nature and release this next week. I myself have the Z 690. In the meantime, Jayz released a video to check if your CPU is degrading:
Jakevlee
Corsairs financials are showing how much of a cheap overpriced overrated company they are... The Absolute fact that Corsair is not getting this out shows they don't care and they are fine with their systems degrading, I will never buy another Corsair product and any kind, and I'm sure others are feeling the same way...they did this to themselves
elleb
I also called in and was told that BIOS updates are on the way. The company should be more proactive about managing and securing their systems and critcal updates. I look at it as a big blunder.
Ajames718
Well, it's going on 4 full weeks since I submitted my tech support request for updated BIOS with Intel's crucial 0x129 microcode, and still nothing. It took the Germans less time to conquer France in 1940 than it's taking Corsair to deliver what other OEMs who use proprietary motherboard BIOS, including some with very poor reputations, delivered to their customers weeks ago. If there's anything good that's come out of this subpar (non-existent is more like it) customer and tech support experience it's that I prevented a very close friend from making the same $4,000+ mistake I made. Since I purchased my Corsair Vengeance PC last year, my friend has heard me praise Corsair and this system for its performance and build quality on numerous occasions (Up until recently, that is). When he called me up last week to tell me (brag was more like it) that he was about to buy the Vengeance a7400 directly from Corsair's webstore as his new gaming rig I successfully talked him out of it, citing Corsair's use of seldom if ever updated proprietary motherboard BIOS along with the general lack of adequate customer support and communication as the principal caveats. He's now doing what I wish I had done - getting his new gaming PC built at the local Micro Center. As for me, I certainly will never buy anything with the Corsair name on it ever again. That may not mean anything to a big company like Corsair, but I'd rather take my business to a company that, at the very least, doesn't treat vitally important tech support issues and customer concerns like something that if ignored, will hopefully just go away on its own.
