blueberrytartt
Hello, I just built my first PC recently, and I got the corsair vengeance DDR5 48 GB (2x24GB) RAM (more specs below). Everything was working fine for about a couple of weeks, but all of a sudden today, my motherboard shows an error light for the CPU and DRAM, and the monitor would not turn on. I checked each ram stick individually in every ram slot, and one stick worked perfectly fine (no errors shown on motherboard and monitor was able to turn on again), while the other ram stick would display the motherboard error lights, and causes the monitor issue. The RGB light for this "faulty" ram stick still turns on, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Is the RAM stick just faulty, or am I doing something wrong? c-attack
If the one stick by itself does not allow you to boot at default 4800, it’s faulty. LED function is power related but not connected to modules primary function. Contact Corsair Support to start the RMA process. They will send you a new kit. If you can, ask for the advance RMA after approval. This is where they ship you a new kit first on credit card hold, then you return the first kit and the charge is refunded. If you have good vendor return options, you can go that route too.
