Augmadon
Hey, so I turned on my computer to find out that the iCue app is gone and tried to reinstall it but it would say "CORSAIR iCUE Installer was unable to complete the installation; Download failed. The download was unable to complete. Please try again later." It would show a download bar of 33% and go to 66% only for it to go to 33% again. I've tried doing this like 5 times with no succus. I even went at this url https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025166712-iCUE-How-to-perform-a-clean-reinstallation-of-iCUE?auth_token=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJhY2NvdW50X2lkIjoyMzk4MjAxLCJ1c2VyX2lkIjoyODgwNDM0MDQ4MjA2MSwidGlja2V0X2lkIjoyMDA3NTQyOTI3LCJjaGFubmVsX2lkIjo2MywidHlwZSI6IlNFQVJDSCIsImV4cCI6MTcyNDg3NDkxNX0.aPkIsozAs_qNn3l-6-x95Xu7hzh08w5ZmHwgVW_KToU&source=search and it was still the same issue. c-attack
This is what happens when CUE's underlying files become corrupted. There are two ways to resolve it, but the catch is sometimes one way or the other won't work because of which files are twisted. 1) Revo Uninstaller or other professional software removal tool. This is the easy way and it will clean out everything with Corsair on it plus give you the option to clean the registry. That is likely the critical step step here based on your description. You should then be able to reinstall. 2) If you open the task manager and see a bunch of Corsair Services still running, Revo may not be able to remove those files. You can try and kill them all off in the task manager or... reboot to Windows Safe mode through the System> Recovery> Advanced Start-up path. This will reboot you without any active drivers and should allow you to uninstall CUE or remove the folders specified in the clean install directions. Then you need to clean the registry manually. WIN + R -> regedit Delete the Corsair folder at the following two locations: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Corsair HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software> Corsair Reboot the PC.
