cbns
Why is there no button "save all" for the software assignments for devices (e.g lighting and key assignments for a mouse") to the hardware profile? Why must I set up ALL the damn assignments twice??!?! And what is the point of "Save to library" if there are TWO DIFFERENT libraries for software and hardware assignments? And why is saving to hardware to intuitive? Any why can't it just happen automatically when I update my software ? My good, this software is so bad. c-attack
Hardware and software functions for Lighting and Assignments have different capabilities. With the aid of system resources, software options are at maximum. When in hardware mode, the individual device must be able to execute the action from its own memory and processor. This varies from device to device and each is coded in CUE to only permit actions that can be completed in hardware mode. They took steps to try and guide users to the correct end path and presumably part of that is preventing a user from attempting to continuously copy a software action to hardware and not understanding why it fails. The libraries do allow you to copy/paste in the respective modes, so at least you only need to create the complex macros once per mode. Most peripheral hardware requires an active write to save the data to the device. Auto saving with macros might be problematic to save as you go creating a lot of writes. cbns
> the individual device must be able to execute the action yes, obviously. > The libraries do allow you to copy/paste in the respective modes no they don't. Copy just creates a copy. You cannot paste it then into the hardware profile. That would be too easy. You haven't offered anything to contradict what I have said. Where appropriate, it shouldn't be necessary to rewrite all the actions and lights from scratch for both hardware and software.

Apparently not obvious since you don't seem to understand why it's a dual system. 5 hours ago, cbns said: You haven't offered anything to contradict what I have said. No, I tried to explain why it is this way. Of course, in the amount of time it takes to write the post, you could have completed all your duplicates. cbns
I wanted to provide feedback for the software. And I have way more duplicates to do than that.
