Replacement top part of case containing FAN on Corsair ONE from 2018

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I am terrified as I just broke one screw that's one of the 4 screws to tighten the fan to the top case part (the top part you remove first when opening the case), I am very scared as I read there is no replacement parts or anything and I might lose my computer and spend thousands over one screw...Someone help me please find this screw or the entire replacement for the top case containing the fan : https://gyazo.com/2f3dac91b66997484bd706ab7afbc0b0

I am completely panicked over this unfortunate accident (I decided to tighten this one and I went too far) and thank you in advance for anyone that will help me...

Question : If I only buy only the replacement fan as I can find them, do they come with these screws in the package ?

I understand these are "string lock screws" (english is not my first language so I am struggling a bit) this is the model I can see on a video of someone replacing the top fan, the screws do not come in the package with the fan https://gyazo.com/58a722cde6c2e6f25dce4ac698b30b88

Anyone, a technician maybe at Corsair knows the exact identification/reference for these screws so I could find them ? Thank you

OK "shoulder screws" rather, will update this with the product reference. Since this might (or might not) happen to older Corsair One rig owners after a few years of use.

Shoulder screws are used especially in this setting to counter vibratory forces, but 6 months ago the part started vibrating (rattling noise), I tightened them and it went back to smooth. (was told to look for dust due to rattling noise but this rig, at least mine, does not accumulate much dust inside tbh).

A few days ago it started to slightly vibrate again so I tightened them but this one broke.

So far the fan seems not to vibrate with the 3 remaining shoulder screws, which should be ok for a temporary period finding replacement part.
