ICUE "No Connection" This is the latest ICUE

Recommended Posts

I have the same error, probably like everybody else.

I've intercepted the traffic with Fiddler and it's because the installer is trying to get the terms and conditions from the URL https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/terms-of-use , which redirects to https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/www.corsair.com/ww/en/s/terms-of-use , which gives a 401 error. You can click the links to see it yourself.

This is by far the worst experience I've had with any PC hardware company.

Thanks for that, I've reported it to the web team.

This is caused by an issue that happened around a year ago and it has reared it's ugly head again.

It's due to the inability for en-US to be found as a locale option, if you use a different language pack for your system.

All we can do is wait for iCUE to fix it sadly.

Previous issue:

My log file:

Quote

2023-12-09_11:21:29 Checking user locale: en-US.
2023-12-09_11:21:29 Setting user preffered language: en-US.
2023-12-09_11:21:30 Failed to read and parse installer embedded payload
2023-12-09_11:21:32 Quit.

@Bassenheim @acquaint0490 Well, that was fast. They just fixed that URL. Works for me in an incognito browser. Please try now?

Tried every link on the page tried clearing caches, updating windows/drivers, deleted and reinstalled god knows how many times now. I can't update I keep getting the screenshot error and then the app deletes itself, but even worse now, reinstalled an older version and it wont detect my controller anymore. The recommendation is "make sure the app is updated" -_-

Also having the same issue. Even temporarily opened up the firewall to make sure it wasn't a client network blockage. I'm pretty sure it was a firmware update that I ran months ago, maybe closer to a year at this point, that bricked my K60 Pro TKL. I ran the update one night whilst doing a million other things so it's vague in my head but I'm almost certain at this point it was that particular night that I was last able to successfully set my polling rate to 8,000hz. ICue won't let me push it past 1,000hz. So it's nice to come to the realization that an update FUBAR'd my 'high end' keyboard and there hasn't been an update since that has fixed it. There isn't enough words to explain my frustration. I tried to get this thing warrantied but I have no idea why they haven't sent out a new one yet.

And right as I'm typing this the phantom typing comes back. Like random keys get stuck out of nowhere. I was encouraged there for a minute or two after I did a factory reset....but ultimately I can't even begin to try and fix this issue because of this iCue server connection error. There's definitely a relationship between this error and my keyboard specifically when I plug it in, because my other Corsair mice have not had this problem with the app.

I was able to get my K60 Pro TKL back to 8,000hz polling by uninstalling whatever latest version of iCue I had in the first place, followed by deleting all traces of it found in Program Files Program Data. You have to enable hidden items (files, folders) in order to see C:\Program Data. Each one should have a Corsair folder, if not then it was likely removed by the uninstall. For good measure I ran Win Disk Cleanup and then installed an old version, which was 433.138 found here https://www.corsair.com/us/en/s/downloads

I hope this helps. I'm assuming I'll have to commit to this version on all my machines that I intend to use this keyboard with, until further notice.

Unfortunately my phantom keystrokes persist. If anyone has any suggestions there I'm all ears.

I've been trying to install the latest version of iCue from https://www.corsair.com/us/en/s/downloads and every time I try, I get the "No Connection" error. I have no issues installing anything else. I also have fiber with speedtest.net results of 942.95 mbps down and 942.80 mbps up (Screenshot attached). I've also added a screenshot of the iCue "No Connection" error while my computer shows that I'm connected to the internet, hardwired at that. I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no change. I tried installing the previous version (iCue 4) but it will only recognize my keyboard, it won't detect my fans, RAM or CPU cooler. Which is a problem because I can't control the cooling and therefore cannot use my gaming computer to game, due to this software issue. The solution is to update to the latest version so I'm running circles trying to use my computer. I've cleared cache and cookies and followed about all the troubleshooting steps mentioned in this thread without luck. Please help.
