Koldov
Hi, I got this case a while ago, but never got round to using the front I/O for anything as it was behind the desk, anyway I've recently moved house and I'm now able to have it set up next to my desk in all its glory. However, I tried a USB in it last week and could not get it to be recognised. I worked out that although one of the USB 3.0 ports would not recognise anything, the other did seem to recognise the USB (and seems to have some power) but when I looked in Windows Explorer it had not found the drive. I looked in the control panel and found it had something about a 'security descriptor' error. I spent a long time trying to uninstall and reinstall drivers in Windows and researching my motherboard on the internet but could not find a solution. Then I came across a post on the Corsair community forum... I searched through the forum and found quite a few more posts which suggests it is a common problem (if not a 'known issue'). With that in mind, the answer appears to have been in all cases to RMA the defective item and as I see the case is still a current line as it is on the Corsair website I'm hoping this part is still available. Having said that, I wondered if anyone could help me as the case was a gift from my wife and she doesn't have the receipt (probably lost in the house move). I'm hoping to not have to do a 'standard' RMA as it means taking the computer apart and not being able to use it (possibly for weeks)!
Koldov
Just to add a bit of further research, I managed to unscrew the cable from the from I/O board and tried it in another computer. Plugged a USB 3.0 memory stick in and the results are: One port still dead and the other port started giving warnings of power surge! I'd say it's the cable then... Getting an aftermarket cable with the same screw hole configuration looks to be impossible, unless anyone knows different? Or a Corsair employee knows if the I/O board can be purchased anywhere or the cable sent out separately? It must be in some other models too, but it seems a lot of other cases have the USB slots in vertical alignment, these push through the case across the top horizontally.
