explorc
Motherbord :Abit NF7-S2G nForce2 Ultra 400 Processor: AMD Athlon XP2600+ Barton Memory: Corsair Value S. PC3200 DDR-DIMM 512MB Unbuffered, Non-parity, 64Megx64, CL2.5 GFX: Radeon 9800 pro QTec 480W I'm having some serois problmes concerning the FSB settings. If I have it on 166Mhz, then i stays stable for a couple of minutes then all of a sudden the computer shut downs and the pc speaker starts to scream, but if i lower the FSB to 100mhz then theres no problem. I the problem came when i upgraded the motherboard and the processor, but theres no physical damage on them because I resent them and got them back with a note that said that there was no problem with them I have never encountered a problem like this. So my Question to you guys are: "Can this memory be run on my computer with the FSB-rate 166Mhz"

I changed the settings and when the computer started up again, it shut down and the pcspeaker started sounding and I couldn't get into Bios to change back so i cleared Cmos. explorc
I have now done memtest with a FSB rate 100 Mhz with the same result so now I just wonder if that means that my memory sticks are broken?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted July 6, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 6, 2005 Please test these settings one at a time, and please make sure that you are setting the memory frequency to run at DDR333 as well.
